Most find garages the most difficult because cars and other items unique to garages play havoc with reception.I’m using a TP-Link RE200 AC750 Range Extender (~$30 on Amazon) to connect 4 Blink indoor cameras to my Netgear R6250 AC1600 Wireless Router and a TP-Link HS100 Smart Plug (~$28 on Amazon) to remotely power cycle my Sync Module when necessary. Four cameras are located on the front part of the house less than 20 feet from the router and the sync module. I think the Blink system might work well in an open floor plan - the fewer walls, the better. Can the XT be connected to a different extender in the house from the sync module or must it be the same one? The sync module is rated for indoor placement, and indoors it certainly won’t reach 600 ft.In any case, the extenders and mesh networks have a much better range than the blink cameras and sync modules.If there’s a clear line of sight between a window and your pole outdoors, or something like that, then you could give it a try. It (the Blink system) needs to work for us, we shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to make it work. will it find the extender & improve the signal & connectivity? Did you have to name your wi fi extender the same name as your regular Wi fi? If this is the case, then it should work. Once your belkin range extender will be powered on, you need to connect your computer to the extender using Ethernet cable or wifi function. I can't add it to JASON WIFI EXT is there a way to trick the extender into being named the exact same, making the system think it's picking up the same wifi? - Using a netgear N300 extender, which is pretty low end, yet my router is higher end so I don’t have a lot of issues anymore.

For some reason Blink cameras find's the wifi name EXT but will not register it. Did you use a different name and hook the Sync and cameras up to the _EXT name or were you able to rename the extender name to your original Wi Fi name. Blink supports mesh/merged networks with a single SSID but only communicates on 2.4 GHz channels.
Log into the range extender’s management page. Obviously it works on the same ADSL line but will have a different password.Plume mesh networking pods work great for these. It worked perfectly.
